My research is oriented mainly towards topics in gender studies with special emphasis on material culture of Early Modern Spain. Areas of interest are, among others, representations of women´s sexuality and body, material visualizations of feminine virtue, and fabrications of woman’s corporal beauty both in the sense of discourse and embellishing practices (afeites) in Early Modern Hispanic texts.
